This week we will start the second round of Summer Sunday School at 9:30 AM. Each class will be starting at the beginning so if you didn’t attend last month you can still have the benefit of attending one of these classes during the month of August. We have rave reviews on all three classes so don’t miss out.
“How Does Heaven Make a Refuge on Earth?” is the title of this week’s Sunday morning message as Pastor Joe continues through Psalms. Our worship service starts at 10:30 AM. Join us! Sunday evening he will cover the book of 1 Thessalonians starting at 6:00 PM.

Andrea is doing a great job keeping track of our donations and the items we still need to be able to fill our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this year. You can check out the biggest need if you don’t know what to donate. During the month of August school supplies are available at reduced prices so this is a good time to stock up on them.

This is a great time to thank God for our country!
Summer Sunday School Starts today at 9:30 AM! Classes offered are presented in July and repeated in August so you may attend the two of your choice. Reg Johnson will lead a study on “1 Timothy”, Emma Radosevich on “Pointing Kids to Jesus” and there will be a Video-Based study on “The Great Commission and Great Missionaries”.
Today at 10:30 AM our message will be based on Psalm 53 and is titled “How Does Psalm 53 Prepare Us for the Lord’s Supper?” At the end of the message we will observe The Lord’s Supper.
Join us starting Monday morning for this free event.
Our building is scheduled to be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 3:00. Pastor Joe is usually here earlier on Monday through Thursday but does come and go some. You are welcome to drop in or call for an appointment to meet with him specifically.
Join us any Sunday morning at 8:30 AM to prepare our church with prayer. We intercede with God together for our church and community.

Announcements, 6-21-26, Happy Father’s Day
Brian Kenney, the Interim Association Mission Strategist for Sandy Creek Southern Baptist Association will be our speaker this Father’s Day morning. We will have no evening service. Enjoy the extra time with your family!
Sports Day Camp was a big success even with the last day being held in the Fellowship Hall! We are so thankful to have this wonderful facility that allows us such a variety of activities!
Saturday, June 27 from 4 – 6:30 PM BBQ Fest in the park. Pork roast will be furnished to the contestants but you may fix something else if you provide the meat. Sides and Desserts will be provided when we eat at 5 PM. Everyone invited! No Charge!
Summer Sunday School will begin July 5. During the months of July and August you may take your choice of attending a month long class taught by Reg Johnson on “1 Timothy”, Emma Radosevich on “Pointing Kids to Jesus” or a Video Based class on “The Great Commission and Great Missionaries” led by Pastor Joe Radosevich. Brunch will be provided for these two months.
Vacation Bible School for kids ages 4 through 12 will be held from 9 to 11:20AM each morning from July 6 through July 10.

It is Summer!! This Sunday morning Pastor Joe will be using Psalm 51 for his theme as he asks the question, “Why Is Confession Painful but Good?” Sunday evening he will lead us through the book of Matthew as we go Book By Book through the Bible. We hope you can join us!
* * * * * * * We will have a Vacation Bible School planning meeting this Sunday evening at 5 PM. We hope a lot of you will come and volunteer your time each morning for the week of July 6 thru July 11. * * * * * * *
This year our Kids Sports Day Camp will be for only three days. We had a great turn-out last year but the leaders found a whole week a little hard to manage. (It’s hard when your body doesn’t feel as young as your mind thinks it is!)
Come join the fun and fellowship as a chef or just to enjoy the meal. This is a FREE activity in the Manchester Village Park. Contestants, meat will be furnished but you should bring your own equipment. If you have questions, call the church at 217-587-2761 and leave a message if no one is available to answer your call.
Please remember we accept any donations all year long but this month we are concentrating on clothing items for boys. Socks and underwear are always much in demand. Thanks for your help!

This Sunday at 10:30 AM, Pastor Joe will be presenting his final message on the 1 Peter series. The text is 1 Peter 5 and the title is “What Does My Future Hold?” We hope you can join us! The community is invited to donate desserts for the Pork Chop Supper coming up on June 6. This fund raiser is vital to maintain the cemetery here in Manchester. You get a great meal for $12.00 with all proceeds to go to the Manchester Cemetery Association. Join your friends and neighbors at the park from 5 to 7 PM on June 6th.

Announcements, April 5, 2026 Easter Sunday
We will have our annual Egg Hunt Saturday morning, April 4 as scheduled but it will be held inside the church since the park is so wet. Come join us for activities at 10:30 and the Hunt at 11:00.
Sunrise Service will start at 6:30 AM and will be held in the Fellowship Hall this year. Following the service you are invited to stay for the Celebration Breakfast!
There will be no Sunday School this week.
Morning Worship begins at 10:30, as usual, with Pastor Joe’s message being based on Luke 23:46. The message is titled “What Does Jesus Say Last? And First?
There will be no Evening Service.

As we enter the Easter Season, Pastor Joe’s theme will be Sayings of Jesus from the Cross. This week’s text will be Luke 23:34. Sunday evening he will cover the Book of Haggai as we go “Book by Book, The Bible One Book at a Time”.
A Note from Pastor Joe:
Someone asked me a while back how I organize my prayers. Here are 5 ways I organize my prayers:
• I pray Scripture. I do this every day. I identify a phrase or verse in my bible reading, and I think about it and turn it into a prayer.
• I pray for my most important roles in life. I pray for my five roles as a Christian, family man, church pastor and member, friend, and writer. This is usually something different every day, but it helps me pray for the things most important to me. I learned this practice and the next from Jed Coppenger’s book 21 Days to Childlike Prayer.
• I often pray the 5 parts of the Lord’s prayer. I pray that I would be a worshiper, servant, receiver, peacemaker, and soldier. I don’t pray this every day but only when I need it.
• I keep lists. I have a list of top 10 requests for my family. I have all my extended family on a list. I have a list of churches in our area. I have a list of people in our church. I have a list of all my responsibilities and organizations. Having lists reminds me of things that I can and should pray for. I don’t pray for everything on every list all the time. They are fuel for my prayers when I need them. They also keep me from forgetting to pray for a person or area of my life.
• I pray for whatever is on my mind or heart. I’m always willing to drop my lists and plans to pray about whatever I care about. If something troubles me, then I pray. It is more important to be with the Lord than to accomplish praying through a list.

In the evening he will cover the Book of Ezekiel as we go “Book by Book, The Bible One Book at a Time”. Currently, on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM we are studying the book of Ephesians. We hope you will join us for some or all of these opportunities to study and worship together!
All men are invited to Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall on February 28 at 7:00 AM. The Bible discussion will be about “The Character of God and How it Applies to Us”.
Each Monday evening in March all ladies are invited to take part in a Bible Study titled “The Life of Leah”. We will start at 6:30 PM.

We are thankful to all in our church who donated a total of $501.69 to the Baby Bottle Campaign.
On Monday, March 9 our church will be serving the Winchester High School students lunch. They always enjoy our pulled pork lunch and especially the cookies you all provide.
